What: Winter Musings 2026 – Intermediate Level
When: Two Opportunities to Watch (1 LIVE or 1 Replay/Download each week) on Wednesday Mornings

With the winter season approaching, I’m thinking some beautiful wintry landscapes and woodland creatures in snow would be just the thing to inspire a gallery wall collection of watercolors on canvas. It’s an acquired taste, but I love painting watercolor on canvas, but if it’s not your jam – paint on watercolor paper, no problem! We have a cozy winter cottage, a majestic stag, a cabin on the lake and a swan with snowflakes falling around him – tell me that’s not fabulous! All levels are welcome in my classes, but this might be a bit more intermediate for new artists.

Supplies:
· Canvas Panels (x4) – whatever size you prefer to work on
· Watercolor Ground (White or Transparent)
· Lg mixed media brush, roughly 1” for applying your watercolor ground
· Heat tool
· Saral Tracing Paper – PLEASE NOTE, SKETCHES SHOULD BE DONE BEFORE CLASS BEGINS, SO WE HAVE TIME TO PAINT OUR GROUND, DRY & WATERCOLOR IN CLASS.
· Watercolor paints
· Watercolor Brushes (18/0, 2, 8 and perhaps 12, if you’re working larger)
· Workable Fixative – I prefer nontoxic SpectraFix, which can be sprayed indoors
· Golden High Flow Acrylic – white
· Toothbrush
Classroom/Class Outline/Intellectual Property
Facebook Messenger Classroom - We have a private Facebook Messenger group for each of my online classes. If we are not “friends” already on Facebook, please send me a friend request here. I will add you to this Messenger group. It’s a place to communicate with fellow students, share work, and ask questions.
If you are a brand new student with me, you will receive an email from Lexi.Grenzer@gmail.com, which will include your first class outline. It is EXTREMELY important that you send me a friend request on Facebook, as we use FB Messenger for all class communication. Once we are “friends” on FB, I will add you to this private Messenger group. Keep in mind that I create a new messenger group for each and every one of my classes. In this messenger string, the very first message in the group will include your class outline, a zoom link for joining the class and any pertinent class information. Once you have taken at least one class with me, I will no longer send your class outlines via email. You will automatically be added to the corresponding FB Messenger classroom, where you will find all class details. If you have any questions, please always feel free to shoot me an email – I’m here to help whenever I can.
