Urban Sketch Cottages
What: Step by Step Guided Sketch & Watercolor Lesson
When: Two Opportunities to Watch (1 LIVE Zoom Lesson and/or 1 Replay)
Saturday, June 27th, 10am-12pm PST
When traveling, it is often appealing to think that you’ll fit in some watercolor painting time. However, that little voice in our heads often makes us second guess being able to sketch and paint on the fly. Urban sketch is the answer to that challenge, and I’ll help you simplify the images; to sketch quickly and paint even faster. We will work with very limited supplies, in fact all of mine fit into a small zipper pouch.
This class is for all levels, including my beginner friends!
Class Supplies (limited supplies, as if you were traveling):
· Watercolor Paints (limited colors is best) – my travel set includes the following, and these are the only colors I’ll use for this lesson. Joyce Hicks Palette (by Davinci) – mother green, manganese blue, cobalt blue, viridian green, Prussian blue, alizarin crimson, permanent rose (quin rose), hansa yellow light, hansa yellow deep (new gamboge), new gold (quin gold), burnt sienna
· ZIG Kuretake Brush Pen (make sure it says waterproof)
· Pencil & eraser
· waterpen
· Palette for mixing colors, I’ll be using the inner lid and tray of my watercolor palette for all mixing
· Watercolor brushes , either a waterpen or round 6 for the whole lesson (if you opt for a regular brush, you’ll need a cup of water)
· Watercolor Paper (three pieces cut to 3.5” x 5.5”)
