What: Acrylic 101 – Beginner Level (but all welcome)
When: Two Opportunities to Watch (1 LIVE or 1 Replay/Download each week) on Saturdays

We are going to the basics with Acrylic 101, and covering some basic color mixing, brush use, how to keep paints wet and apply them for loose abstract paintings. This course is once a month, first Saturday of each month, for a total of four months. Our lessons will cover a doe, landscape, flowers in a pitcher and an owl. This is marketed as an acrylic 101 course, however, all painters are welcome! I’m keeping supplies VERY simple for this course, as it’s all about mixing colors and simple applications.
Supplies:
· Canvas Panels (x4) - 5” x 7”
· Brushes (Flat 12, Filbert 8, Angular 2, 8, Round 1)
· Open Acrylics & Thinner, if you prefer to use your own acrylics, these are the colors I’m using (Cadmium Yellow Primrose, Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Red Light, Alizarin Crimson Hue, Ultramarine Blue, Manganese Blue Hue, and Sap Green Hue, Titanium White Van Dyck Brown), but please buy a bottle of Acrylic Thinner
· Golden High Flow Quin Nickel Azo Gold (harder to find these days) or Golden Fluid Acrylic in Azo Gold
· Permanent (black) Pen (for outlining your pencil on the acrylic)
· Palette for Mixing

Facebook Messenger Classroom - We have a private Facebook Messenger group for each of my online classes. If we are not “friends” already on Facebook, please send me a friend request here. I will add you to this Messenger group. It’s a place to communicate with fellow students, share work, and ask questions.
If you are a brand new student with me, you will receive an email from Lexi.Grenzer@gmail.com, which will include your first class outline. It is EXTREMELY important that you send me a friend request on Facebook, as we use FB Messenger for all class communication. Once we are “friends” on FB, I will add you to this private Messenger group. Keep in mind that I create a new messenger group for each and every one of my classes. In this messenger string, the very first message in the group will include your class outline, a zoom link for joining the class and any pertinent class information. Once you have taken at least one class with me, I will no longer send your class outlines via email. You will automatically be added to the corresponding FB Messenger classroom, where you will find all class details. If you have any questions, please always feel free to shoot me an email – I’m here to help whenever I can.
