What: Book Study: Watercolor Animals – Intermediate Level

For our next book study, we are going to feature Liz Chaderton’s book, Painting Animals in Watercolour. These will be loose and playful exercises; we’ll mix and merge the techniques to create something new and all our own. As with all book studies, I encourage you to find your own voice through these exercises, I take creative liberties often and use the author’s suggestions and supplies in a more out of the box application. I’ve added an optional item of inks by Birmingham or Emily Grace, as many of us have them, and I think they’d be great additions.
Lesson Plan: Stag pg82, Raven Elegant Writer pg89 but we’ll add color and “blow out” like pg14, Fox with India Ink & Watercolor pg92 – but we’ll use the full body from pg70, Basset Hound pg94 (but we’ll do big strokes with ½” flat wash brush like gorilla on pg32)

Classroom/Class Outline/Intellectual Property
Facebook Messenger Classroom - We have a private Facebook Messenger group for each of my online classes. If we are not “friends” already on Facebook, please send me a friend request here. I will add you to this Messenger group. It’s a place to communicate with fellow students, share work, and ask questions.
If you are a brand new student with me, you will receive an email from Lexi.Grenzer@gmail.com, which will include your first class outline. It is EXTREMELY important that you send me a friend request on Facebook, as we use FB Messenger for all class communication. Once we are “friends” on FB, I will add you to this private Messenger group. Keep in mind that I create a new messenger group for each and every one of my classes. In this messenger string, the very first message in the group will include your class outline, a zoom link for joining the class and any pertinent class information. Once you have taken at least one class with me, I will no longer send your class outlines via email. You will automatically be added to the corresponding FB Messenger classroom, where you will find all class details. If you have any questions, please always feel free to shoot me an email – I’m here to help whenever I can.
