As we progress in our Intermediate watercolor lessons, we are constantly pushing ourselves to tackle more detail & texture. Which is EXACTLY why using Claudia’s book, Painting Weathered Buildings in Pen, Ink & Watercolor is so perfect! I have selected brick, weathered wood, dirty glass and chippy paints for this four week series, and we will work on Claudia’s wonderfully outlined techniques for our warm up exercises, and then we’ll put them to use working off of photos (featuring the same techniques). It is important to note that purchase of the selected book or ebook is required for class and is NOT included in the cost of the class. Each week we tackle a new lesson, and I help to further break down and demystify the exercises outlined. This is my take on the lesson, and most lessons I go a bit rogue (as it’s my interpretation of the lesson).
