Watercolor Wednesday with Lexi - Inspired by Ohn Mar Win

Watercolor Wednesday with Lexi is a four week online lesson (via Zoom) in which we study under a selected book, author or artist. This month we are inspired by the work of Ohn Mar Win. Ohn’s loose and playful style is a fabulous way to think outside of the box with watercolor and illustration. We will work on veggies, fruits, desserts and flowers for this 4 week session. It’s important to note that this class is my take on Ohn’s work, these are not intended to be perfect copies of Ohn’s lovely work, and we will simply be influenced by her style, similar art supplies and applications of those supplies.

Class Supplies:

• Watercolor paints (reference my top 27 colors)
• Pencil & eraser (optional)
• Micron pens 01 (black, sepia (dark brown) and/or brown {red brown} ) and/or Any Fountain Pen of choice like Platinum carbon ink or Kaweco
• Masking Fluid with fine tip applicator (I purchased this brand)
• Masking eraser
• Bleed proof white or white gouache
• Water cup
• Palette for mixing colors
• Optional - Elegant Writer (has to be black calligraphy one)
• Posca (acrylic paint markers), White gel pen
• Watercolor brushes Round 18/0, 2 and 6 and one x-large brush, I’ll be using my round 12.
• Heat tool or hair dryer
• Painters tape
• Art tote or rigid surface to tape your watercolor paper down to
• Cold press watercolor paper 9/12 - feel free to cut down to smaller sizes or watercolor journal
• Metal Stylus or bruising tool
