I absolutely adore making one-of-a-kind handbags, and this one is especially fun! I used a large (6" x 3") etched brass butterfly to embellish the front pocket. It has been patina'd, burnished and polished for the most delightful vintage patina finish. The bag is a beautiful milk chocolate colored hot pocket leather (lightly textured but smooth outer layer with a soft touch inside). The bag is a tote pattern, which tapers to the bottom, the top is 13" across and the bottom 9" across. The bag stands at 10" tall. A snap closure was added, and the leather handles are a caramel colored leather in 6 to 7oz. They measure 3/4" in strap width. The front pocket is large enough to snugly hold most cellphones, and measures 5" x 7 3/4". D-rings have been added, just in case you'd like to wear the bag across the shoulder or cross-body.
This bag has (2) matching accessories (not included), which include: A zippered leather wristlet, measuring 5" x 7" and a matching removable/adjustable cross-body/shoulder strap (webbing is 1.5" thick). Please message for details on the availability, if you are interested.
I have used traditional saddle stitch for the entire bag, copper & antique bronze hardware for the cold connection hardware. All bags will come in a muslin garment bag, so they can be safely stowed away when not in use.
*Leather is a completely natural material, and as such imperfections are very common. I use every piece of leather, the imperfections and scars are just as beautiful in my eyes, so please carefully look at all the pictures. Best to have no surprises.
